Application Process for Anticipated District Attorney Vacancy

Anticipating a vacancy in the office of District Attorney, the Republican Party of Lackawanna County’s Executive Committee will accept applications from individuals interested in being placed on the list, which will be supplied to the court at the prescribed time, from which an individual will be selected to fill the aforementioned vacancy.

Applications shall include:

1.      A letter stating the intent of the individual to seek the appointment as well as any other information they wish to share with the committee;

2.      A copy of the applicant’s current voter registration card/SURE system card which may be obtained at the Lackawanna County Department of Elections Voter Registration Office, 2400 Stafford Ave, Scranton, PA 18505;

3.      A current resume.

The Executive Committee will meet on 15 December at the Ramada Inn, 820 Northern Blvd, Clarks Summit, PA 18411 at 6:30 p.m. to conduct in-person interviews of the applicants.

Applications may be transmitted by mail or electronically but in either case, must be received on or before 7 December 2015 by 5:00 p.m.
